Aramid ropes are used where increased friction is expected. Kevlar in the rope provides greater resistance to heat and friction compared to UHMWPE ropes, however, the load capacity is lower. The maximum load is 250kg at a thickness of 2mm. Simply put, if you can handle a 1000lb challenge only with DeadLift, UHMWPE is more suitable for you, but if you have a few deployment with IVECO or Oshkosh and your back does not show signs of a young anabolic stallion, Aramid is sufficient for you.
